Overview

What is Pro?

Google Drive and Dropbox sync are free for everyone. Pro is for people whose library has outgrown 10 books, who want every theme, or who want to sync to their own server.

ReadMore is free forever for up to 10 books, and that includes cross-device sync through your own Google Drive or Dropbox - it's not a Pro feature. Pro exists for readers whose library has outgrown the free limits, want every theme, or want to sync to their own server instead of a Big Tech account.

What the free tier gives you

  • Up to 10 books in your library.
  • Up to 10 bookmarks per book plus the auto-tracked reading position.
  • Labels for organising books - up to 2 levels of nesting.
  • Text highlighting in 5 colours, with its own labels.
  • Rich-text notes on bookmarks and highlights in PDF and EPUB books.
  • Read aloud with browser voices or downloadable on-device voices. Voice availability varies by browser and device.
  • Filling in and signing PDF forms. Type into a form's own fields, write anywhere on a page that has none, and sign by drawing or by typing your name. Save over the original, save a copy, or print it.
  • Downloadable library backups and restore.
  • Two themes: Paper and Midnight.
  • Cross-device sync via your own Google Drive or Dropbox. Install ReadMore on each supported browser and connect the same storage account to share your library and reading position.

What Pro unlocks

  • Unlimited books. The 10-book cap is removed.
  • Unlimited bookmarks per book.
  • PDF notes export. Export annotated pages and notes from one PDF book or collect them across books by label. EPUB books are excluded from this export.
  • Saved signatures. Keep a signature and re-apply it to the next form in one click. Signing itself is free - this is about not retyping it every time.
  • Deep label hierarchies. Nest labels as deeply as you like.
  • All 9 themes. The 7 additional themes (Sepia, Slate, Nord, and others) unlock.
  • Self-hosted sync. Point ReadMore at your own WebDAV server (Synology, QNAP, TrueNAS, Nextcloud, or DIY) instead of a Google or Dropbox account.

Which sync provider should I choose?

Pick whichever cloud you already use - or, on Pro, your own server.

  • Google Drive - sign in through Chrome's identity support. On Edge, use Dropbox or local storage. Free.
  • Dropbox - if Drive is not for you. Files are scoped to an app folder, so ReadMore cannot see anything else in your Dropbox. Free.
  • Your own server - if you would rather nothing lives on someone else's cloud. Works with Synology, QNAP, TrueNAS, Nextcloud, or a DIY WebDAV server. Pro.

Your data is yours

Pro is about unlocking features in the extension. Even with sync on, your books live entirely in your cloud provider account or on your NAS. TipaHaus never receives or stores your books.
